Anchorage Children’s Home is a non-profit organization, founded on Christian principles and beliefs, which serves, protects and strengthens children, families and community. Mica Specialties has been a community partner to them for many years and James Clemens is the 2013 Anchor of the Year award recipient.
FOOD4KIDZ is a non-profit organization that stocks a full-service food bank to provide food, free of charge, to struggling families with children located in Bay County, Florida.
Rotary Club is a non-profit organization that puts service before self, which is something we believe in. Because of our founding mission to give back to our community, supporting both the Panama City Beach Rotary Club and the Emerald Coast Rotary Club came easy for us. Beach Care Services is a non-profit organization that provides emergency assistance with rent payments, utilities, transportation, prescriptions, food, clothing, employment information and a variety of other requests and is completely funded by contributions.
Since 1957, St. Andrew Bay Center (rebranded in 2017 as The Arc of the Bay), a non-profit agency in Lynn Haven, Florida has provided support and opportunities for adults with disabilities. Designed around individual needs, all of our services assist individuals to become as self-sufficient and independent as possible.
The mission of the Toys For Kids Foundation is to provide assistance to established Bay County agencies and groups that share our vision of helping those families with children in need. With the support of dedicated volunteers, generous sponsors, and various events held throughout the year, the Toys for Kids Foundation serve those less fortunate in our community.
Simply Self Esteem is a community-driven project founded by Allison Smith. It's simply a donation drive to collect, assemble and donate self esteem bags to area teens. The bags include personal care and hygiene items like toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, beauty accessories and much more. The bags are distributed through Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center and Anchorage Children's Home. In 2016 alone, 500 self esteem bags were created and donated with roughly 10 items in each bag.
The heart and mission of the Fun in the Sun Mud Run is to bring a new event to our community and its guests, giving us the ability to raise funds for Charity. 100% of the proceeds will “Help Charities overcome obstacles one at a time” and Mica Specialties is honored to be an indicate part of the successful completion of the 2018 event, which raised in excess of $86,000 for The Hope Project, The Arch of the Bay, Beach Care Services, PCB Stair Climb, and Simply Self Esteem.
George Butchikas Foundation for Autism is actively working to better the lives of those affected by Autism. They provide funding for families that are unable to pay for intensive behavioral services needed by Autistic children right here in Bay County, Panama City Beach, Florida.
Tricked Out Car Club is a community driven car club that has raised over $34,000 since it was created by James Clemens in 2008. From toy drives for children to the funds to care for the needs of our Veterans, the goal was always to provide help and make our community better while enjoying the lifestyle of custom vehicles.
As locals to beautiful Bay County, Florida, we love to stay involved and connected to it. One of the ways we stay connected to our great community is by caring for those that care for it, by paying it forward to them so they can better do what they do so well.
